For the Homeschool Co-op or Catholic Playgroup

  • Turn your co-op into an opportunity for the entire family, including the often neglected little ones in the homeschool community.
  • Use as a music curriculum to teach classes for children ages 0-8.
  • Take your playgroup experience to the next level.
  • Provide valuable music education designed to provide long term benefit to the music aptitude of each student.

OPTION 1

If your cooperative hires outside teachers, you may consider approaching a music teacher or teacher from a secular music and movement program about getting certified as an MMPT teacher and providing the class for your coop.  You will need to work out financial details with the teacher regarding fees, providing of equipment, teacher certification costs, etc.

                                                                                       OPTION 2

By following the Parish model, your co-op may start its own MMPT program.  The Cooperative will purchase equipment (reusable year after year) and provide training for a teacher employee or volunteer.  Families will purchase materials to use for "homework" – listening to CDs, looking at songbooks, and generally learning the songs in the curriculum.  The 5 season curriculum is reusable year-to-year but we do ask that each enrolled family purchase their own materials.

OPTION 3

Anyone is free to purchase MMPT materials for use in independent programs.  You will not be granted licensing, however, as we cannot verify the quality or effectiveness of a class that may not utilize our methods and techniques nor employs a trained, qualified teacher.  We recommend that the teacher employee or volunteer start with the user-friendly Homeschool Edition Package and then determine which materials families in the class should purchase.
