Preschool Partners Cost Analysis
So what's this going to cost?
Expenses
Because our preschool outreach is a relatively new service, there is no cost at this time for licensing and support services. Your license as a Preschool Partner obligates you to use our curriculum as we mandate IF you advertise and/or promote yourself as a Making Music Praying Twice Preschool Partner or in cooperation with Making Music Praying Twice in any way regarding your school curriculum. We must do this to ensure that quality of music education is maintained according to our standards and philosophy when our name is used.
In addition to your normal operating costs and remuneration of teachers, purchasing of curriculum products is your only cost.
At minimum to qualify as a preschool partner, your school will need to invest in:
- Teacher Training for at least one faculty member: $210 per teacher with a 10% discount for multiple candidates at our Teacher Training Workshop, OR between $450 and $600 per teacher using the alternate certification process
- Manuals for each teacher utilizing the program: $25 per Manual (Preschool Partners receive an additional 15% discount) Includes free tip sheet on adapting the program to the preschool classroom (available to Preschool Partners only)
- CDs for each classroom – $60 per annual 5 CD set (Preschool Partners receive an additional 15% discount)
- Children's songbooks for each classroom – 1 per 3 children minimum – 1 per child preferred in 4-year-old classrooms. Set of 5 illustrated (b&w) seasonal songbooks @ $29.95 per set (Preschool Partners receive an additional 15% discount)
- Take home package – 1 per family – (siblings share) – Brochure for parents,
educational handouts for parents (reproducible masters),
Set of 5 illustrated (b&w) seasonal songbooks
5 CD set (Songbooks and CDs are distributed seasonally) - $92.50
(Preschool Partners receive an additional 15% discount)
(You may wish to charge an annual $100 materials fee with your tuition. Equivalent products in secular music programs cost an average of $40 per season, compared to the $100 per 5 season products your school will provide.)
* This particular package is available to Preschool Partners only
- Equipment – Your school may need to purchase equipment (instruments, parachute, shaky eggs) to run safe and effective classes. This is not purchased through MMPT. These are not consumable investments. Depending on how elaborate a program you provide, you may spend anywhere from $300 – $2000 if you are starting from scratch.
Additionally, you may need materials for enrichment or group classes your school may offer. These will likely be more than covered by the revenue these classes will create.
Revenue
In addition to promoting your school as innovative and top-notch in curriculum and services, allowing you to justify a price point on the higher end of the scale, MMPT Preschool Partners open a door to supplemental revenue:
For example, you may charge $10 – $15 per day for a music enrichment program in which each child who remains will receive a 45 minute MMPT music class by your trained teacher. Your students will have the materials from Preschool Partners. This income is entirely revenue.
You may charge $7 – $15 per family per class for weekly group classes offered for younger siblings. Additionally, parents will pay for any materials needed. If you are doubtful as to the price points, investigate your local, secular early childhood music and movement programs and analyze their prices.
Investing in this curriculum not only provides your students with the best possible music education curriculum, but makes financial sense for your institution.
